Tips and information on camping stoves

Me and some friedns are wanting to go camping in late March and would like to know of some great cheap places to go camping in a tent not an RV. We want to build a fire and not use a stove. Where is a great place to do so?

I recently picked up a folding camping stove, that is similar to the esbit kind. It works fine, but the tablets smell horribly like fish. Are there odorless, or less smelly fuel tabs available for this kind of stove? Im using basically an esbit folding stove, as seen here http://www.esbit.de/index.php?id=304, and its the first stove. We have been leant a Camping Stove that is recommended for use with Butance and has a 28mb Butane regulator fitted. We have also bought a gas BBQ which has a 37mb Propane reg fitted and instructions state for use with Propane only. We only want to take one bottle with us and my question [...]

How can i make a good homemade camping mess kit for a backpacking trip i have a small homemade alcohol stove….and i need it to be the lightest kit i can get ( what else small pot/pan,a small cup,some salt/pepper, other spices,homemade dehydrated camping food)
