Coleman Gas Grill

Coleman Gas Grill a Must for Camping

Wilderness, wildlife, and sunsets are just a few of the reasons someone may wish to go camping gear.  Of course you really don’t have to go camping just to use a Coleman gas grill, but it sure makes the adventure a lot more fun.  When you are going camping you will find you need many accessories from a tent, camper, or RV to sleeping bags, utensils, food, and of course camping stoves.

First you will want to know the types of camping stoves you can purchase.  There are several that require gas.  In fact most of the camping grills will require gas to light them. It is easier to use a gas grill most of the time than starting a fire.  You will find that during the summer months open fires are not allowed in most parks and high risk areas for forest fires.  While you may enjoy a fire, if you don’t have a gas grill you won’t be eating at the camp site during the trip with the regulations.  If, you can have a fire than you have less to worry about.

You have a single Coleman gas grill that you can choose.  In other words it has just one burner.  These are great for a small camping party that will only require a little food on the grill at one time or one pot.  If you have several people or are looking to cook a full course meal you probably want to have a two or three burner Coleman gas grill.  The more burners you have the hotter you will be able to get the grill and the more evenly you can cook the food.

You will also want to have gas grill accessories along on the trip.  You may wish to have extra stove parts including a pressure extension hose.  Some individuals when they camp with RV’s don’t worry about purchasing the little bottles of gas, but instead hook their grill up to the propane tank on their RV camping gear.  It can be easier and more cost effective if you already have propane on the RV.  You just need the extra hose to reach your cooking station.  Other gas grill accessories you may wish to have can include utensils for working with the food.  You will want spatulas, tongs, and brush to keep the grill clean.  You may also want to have a couple of pot holders if you are going to be cooking with a camping Dutch oven.

Dutch oven camping can be quite fun.  When you are planning on staying around the camp site for most of the day you can set up your Coleman gas grill with a Dutch oven and cook a stew.  If you are hunting or trapping your own food you will find the Dutch oven is one of the best accessories to have for baking, frying, or creating stews with the fresh meat.  Camping is a wonderful adventure whether you are in the Rocky Mountains or Smoky Mountains.  You will find plenty of things to do and ways to cook camping.
