Your family camping this year is quite late because you just got back from a month-long trip abroad with your boss, surveying China as a possible location for your planned expansion of the selling operations of your company’s products. You timed your trip with the Beijing Olympics, so you got the chance also to see the games, and met many business people in the Olympics site that you will be working with, once you are fielded in China not so long from now.

Check thoroughly the accessories of the Coleman grills like the tent poles and the ropes of different lengths for their various uses in setting up your temporary home in the campgrounds. Maybe Mom can also prepare an outdoor dinner of barbecue for the kids to get a feel of what it is to be eating outdoors with a minimum of furniture to use for dining. It will also be her chance to test the functionality of the Coleman grill that she has not used for sometime. Coleman will be happy that you have been buying their products, with the latest being the Coleman stove you recently acquired.

The campouts in the past summers have always been your chance of bonding with the kids; with your upcoming foreign assignment, you would not know yet whether you would still have the summer campouts with them. However, maybe you can just arrange for your yearly leave to be timed with the summer vacation of the children, so your use of the Coleman camping grills will continue out in your favorite camping grounds.  

You do not anticipate having any problem with the boss on this matter. Being a family man himself, the leave request you plan to file in time with your kids’ long vacation is well within the privileges afforded by your company. He might even apply for his own leave too at the same with you, so your two families can go on a joint summer campout next year. That will give both of you a chance to brief your families of what is in China; maybe you can even make early plans for a trip for your families to China in the coming years.
